This chakra represents communication. This is where your truth, half-truths and lies are heard in the physical world. The higher creative faculties of man are expressed through this portal. This chakra is activated when you ask for what you need either from the world or the ether through affirmation or prayer. Everything expressed in the physical world echoes in eternity by entering the greater soul and those near to you or within your direct influence. The ether ultimately processes all negative energies but not those that reside in you. Others around you are protected by their own chakras which are selectively open or closed or ajar to external influences. The focal point of this chakra is the thyroid gland and governs the lungs, the vocal and bronchial apparatus and the alimentary canal.
